These terms are an agreement between you and Lucas Lopes, the independent developer who publishes Voraz (“we”, “us”). They cover the Voraz app for iPhone and Apple Watch, its widgets, and the services behind it. By creating an account or using Voraz, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
Your licence to install and use the app itself comes from Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add the rules for our service. If the two conflict on the licence to the app, Apple’s agreement wins.
1. Not medical advice
Voraz gives you training programs, calorie and macro targets, food estimates and progress projections. They are general, educational fitness information, not medical, nutritional or physical therapy advice. They don’t replace a doctor, dietitian or qualified coach.
Voraz is not a medical device. It doesn’t diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it doesn’t prescribe. In Brazil, nothing in it is a dietary prescription (Law 8.234/1991), an exercise prescription (Law 9.696/1998) or a medical act (Law 12.842/2013).
Don’t follow Voraz’s programs or targets without a doctor’s supervision if you have, or think you might have:
- a heart condition, chest pain, arrhythmia, or uncontrolled high blood pressure;
- diabetes, recurrent low blood sugar, or an untreated thyroid disorder;
- epilepsy, seizures, fainting or frequent dizziness;
- a serious joint or spine injury, advanced osteoporosis, a healing fracture, or surgery in the last 12 months;
- a pregnancy, or you’re breastfeeding;
- an eating disorder, current or past;
- a chronic disease that diet or exercise can affect, or medication that changes how you respond to them;
- any other condition a health professional says rules out changes to your diet or exercise.
Also:
- Talk to a doctor before starting a new exercise program or diet.
- Stop and get help if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath or chest discomfort.
- Lifting weights carries a risk of injury. Use good form, a spotter where appropriate, and loads you can control. You train at your own risk.
- Voraz isn’t designed for people with, or recovering from, an eating disorder. Calorie targets are estimates with a 1,200 kcal floor, not prescriptions.
- AI meal estimates, label readings, programs, projections and coach replies can be wrong, sometimes confidently so. AI can’t see allergies, cross-contamination or interactions with medication. Check what it gives you before you rely on it.
- Voraz is not for emergencies. If you think you have one, call your local emergency number.
You choose what you do with the information Voraz gives you. By training or changing your diet with it, you accept the risks that come with exercise and diet changes.
2. Who can use Voraz
Voraz is for adults. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that’s higher, and able to enter a binding contract. Don’t use Voraz if you’re younger, or if the law forbids it. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we’ll close it and delete its data.
3. Your account
You sign in with Apple. Keep your Apple Account secure, because anyone using it can use your Voraz account. One account is for one person. You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account › Delete Account.
4. Gym Pro subscription
Using Voraz after onboarding requires a Gym Pro subscription.
- Billing. Apple sells and bills the subscription to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, at the price and period shown before you buy.
- Free trial. New subscribers may be offered a free trial, as shown before purchase. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the subscription starts and you’re charged. Eligibility is decided by Apple.
- Auto-renewal. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges your account for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel in your iPhone’s Settings › your name › Subscriptions, or in Voraz under Settings › Subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Gym Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can’t issue them ourselves.
- Longer plans. A yearly plan is charged in full at the start of each year, not monthly. A per-month figure shown next to it is only for comparison.
- Price changes follow Apple’s rules, including notice and, where required, your consent.
- Right of withdrawal (Brazil). Under article 49 of the Consumer Defense Code, you can withdraw within 7 days of buying. Because Apple sold and charged the subscription, you do this through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com (Decree 7.962/2013, art. 5, §1); mention article 49 in the request.
- Restoring. On a new device, use Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account.
5. AI features and fair use
Meal scans, label readings, program generation and the coach use AI services described in our Privacy Policy. Using Voraz requires your consent to send that data to Anthropic and OpenAI, in the United States; you give it when you create your account, and withdraw it by deleting your account. To keep them available to everyone, they have daily limits. The app tells you when you reach one and when it resets. Only upload photos you have the right to use, and avoid photos of other people.
6. Your content
What you log is yours: workouts, plans, measurements, meals, photos and notes. You give us permission to store, process and transmit it only as needed to run Voraz for you, as our Privacy Policy describes. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law. Barcode label values you contribute may be shared with other users, with nothing that identifies you.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t:
- Misuse or disrupt the service.
- Get around its limits, or access it except through the app.
- Reverse-engineer it except where the law allows.
- Use it to break the law or anyone’s rights.
- Upload anything harmful or illegal.
- Resell access.
We may suspend or close an account that does.
8. The service
We work to keep Voraz running and your backups safe, but we can’t promise the service will always be available or error-free, or that a backup can never be lost. Keep your own copy with Export Data in Settings. We may change, add or remove features. If a change takes away something central to what you paid for, we’ll tell you in advance in the app.
Food data comes in part from Open Food Facts, available under the Open Database License, and from USDA FoodData Central. Apple Health and Apple Watch features depend on Apple’s software and your permissions.
9. Ending things
You can stop using Voraz and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it. If we shut Voraz down, we’ll give reasonable notice in the app, so you can export your data. Sections 1, 6, 10, 11, 12 and 14 survive the end of these terms.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent the law allows, Voraz is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. That includes fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of estimates.
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages.
- Injury that results from exercise or diet choices.
- Lost data.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for Voraz in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be waived under the law where you live, such as Brazil’s Consumer Defense Code or the mandatory consumer laws of your country or state.
11. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, if someone makes a claim against us because you misused Voraz, broke these terms, or infringed someone’s rights, you’ll cover the reasonable costs that claim causes us.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. You keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws, and the right to go to the courts, where you live; in Brazil, consumer disputes are heard where the consumer lives (Consumer Defense Code, art. 101, I). Before any formal dispute, please write to us; most problems are solved by email.
13. Apple
You get Voraz from Apple’s App Store, so these points also apply:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for Voraz and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Voraz.
- If Voraz fails to meet a warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple may refund the price you paid for it. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Voraz.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claim about Voraz. That includes product liability, failure to meet a legal or regulatory requirement (including for HealthKit), consumer protection and privacy, and any claim that Voraz infringes someone’s intellectual property.
- You confirm you aren’t in a country under a US government embargo, or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and aren’t on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them, Apple may enforce them against you.
14. General
These terms, Apple’s licence agreement and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Voraz. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies, and that part is applied as far as the law allows. If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we haven’t waived it. We may transfer these terms to whoever takes over Voraz; your rights under them, and under our Privacy Policy, carry over.
15. Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above, and for material changes tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Voraz after that, you accept the new terms; if you don’t agree, you can cancel and delete your account.
