This policy is for people protected by consumer health data laws, such as Washington’s My Health My Data Act and Nevada’s SB 370, and we apply it to everyone. It covers the health-related part of Voraz, the iPhone and Apple Watch app published by Lucas Lopes (“we”). Everything else is in our Privacy Policy.
What we collect
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Body measurements | Body weight, body fat percentage, height, birth date, sex, goal weight |
| Vital signs during exercise | Heart rate and active energy, measured by Apple Watch |
| Fitness and training | Workouts, sets, reps, loads, times, distances and steps; training experience, goals and schedule |
| Injuries and limitations | Physical constraints you select, and goals you describe in your own words |
| Nutrition and hydration | Meals and their photos, notes you add, calorie, macro and water targets, water intake |
Where it comes from
- From you, when you answer onboarding questions or log workouts, meals, measurements and water.
- From Apple Health, if you allow it: body weight, body fat and water on iPhone, and heart rate and active energy on Apple Watch.
- Derived by the app, such as calorie and macro targets calculated from your profile, or a program shaped around your injuries.
Why we collect it
Only to provide the features you use:
- Building and progressing your training program.
- Estimating meals and calculating your targets.
- Showing your progress.
- Syncing with Apple Health.
- Backing up your data, if you turn health backup on.
We don’t use it for advertising, don’t sell it, and don’t use it to train AI models.
What stays on your iPhone and what reaches us
Your meal log and meal photos stay on your iPhone, and so does everything else here while health backup is off. Some of it reaches our servers in four cases:
- Health & Activity backup, only if you turn it on. It uploads your body measurements, water, workout vitals and profile answers, including injuries.
- AI features, which you agree to when you create your account. A meal photo you scan, and any note you add, goes through our server to our AI provider, Anthropic or OpenAI, to estimate the food. It’s returned to your iPhone and not stored.
- Program generation, under the same consent. Your training answers go to our server to build your program. Injuries and equipment are used there to pick exercises and are not stored or sent to our AI provider. The rest goes to it to draft the program.
- The coach, under the same consent. Each message you send goes with a snapshot of your profile, nutrition goals, today’s meals, recent days’ totals, water, weigh-ins, plan and lift trends, and any meal photo you attach. Our server passes them to our AI provider for the reply and stores none of it. The conversation stays on your iPhone.
Your training history (workouts and sets) is part of the Program & History backup, which is on by default and can be turned off in Settings.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell consumer health data. We share it only with processors who handle it for us under contract:
| Processor | Role | Health data it handles |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosts our servers and database | Your backups, encrypted at rest |
| Anthropic | AI meal estimates, program drafts and coach replies | Meal photos and notes; training answers except injuries and equipment; coach messages and their snapshot |
| OpenAI | The same, when Anthropic can’t answer | The same |
We have no affiliates that receive your data. Apple handles the data you keep in Apple Health under Apple’s own terms.
Your rights
You can:
- Confirm and access whether we hold your health data, and get a copy. Email us; Export Data in the app also gives you a file.
- Delete it. Go to Settings › Backup › Health & Activity › Delete health data from our servers, or delete your whole account in Settings › Account. What Anthropic and OpenAI receive is deleted on their side within 30 days anyway.
- Withdraw consent by turning off health backup or Apple Health access at any time. Consent to AI processing is withdrawn by deleting your account.
Email support@voraz.app for anything the app doesn’t do itself. We’ll answer within 45 days. If we decline a request, reply to our answer to appeal, and we’ll respond within 45 days. If you’re in Washington and we deny your appeal, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General.
